Karte is Family

There is no set start date or test date. Your hours begin when you begin. Until we have enough students to split up the classes, we are mixing the belt ranks, ages, etc. When a student completes 16 hours of training with consistent attendance the 17th hour is their test for their next belt rank, at the instructor's discretion. Testing is $25; this includes the class fee. Tests will be held during regular class times and will be a practice session for any student who is not testing at the time. Black belt testing will be a separate session held periodically and scheduled at least 1 month in advance, depending upon who is eligible. Note: Black belt testing fee will be higher but has not yet been set.

We are working in partnership with Sensei Amy who is operating her own Conscious Warrior karate school in the Fuquay and Sanford, NC, areas. Each of us is operating our dojo/school on our own terms but we do intend to occasionally arrange a Tournament between the two schools, or a Seminar under the name of Conscious Warrior. Tournaments and seminar dates and locations will be announced.
The Karate belt ranks vary between schools. I have decided to stay with the ranking we are familiar with in our previous program. Any student may attend more than 1 hour per week of classes, however, the purpose of so many belt ranks is to allow a child to grow into becoming a black belt (mentally, emotionally, and physically).

We will NEVER promote a student to a belt rank they are not ready to achieve; doing so only hurts the student in the long run. Schools that automatically promote students are also known as, "Belt Factories" or "McDojos," meaning they are so concerned with the money for testing they keep promoting students to belt levels for which they might not be ready in order to collect the fees. Our focus is on our students, not profit.

THANK YOU for continuing with me!
Love you all,
Sensei Deidra
